New (& Old) Workouts on YouTube
It’s been a little while since I recorded one of my live classes on Zoom. W'e’re kickin’ off this post with a 45-minute cardio class recorded during a live session. This one was recorded using Zoom, so the music quality isn’t great. Use it for inspiration or get sweaty as you move along with me.
Back in time
Now, I invite you on a trip down memory lane. We go all the way back to University Emily — nearly 10 years ago. This is when I was primarily teaching Zumba and some other dance-related classes at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) in Amherst.
This space in the UMass center is magical. Amazing sunlight shines through the windows as you look out at views of the Pioneer Valley. Some incredible growth as a trainer — and young woman — happened in this room.

After university, I started my yoga teacher training and my YouTube archive reflects that phase in my fitness career. But, come on, how about this voice-over action?! What a gem. Also, the workouts aren’t so bad if you can get passed the cheesiness. 🧀

Then there are the arm pulses, mostly inspired by what Eliza has been doing in Kick It by a Eliza since 2009. These two videos are fan-favorites. I also get “Please film another!” quite often which makes me think: It’s time for a 15-minute arm workout on Zoom. Schedule for Friday, May 22.

If you’re looking for a workout to try, I made some unlisted playlists for you. Let’s kick it off with a playlist for my dancing queens. You can put this playlist on shuffle and move until you’ve had enough. Enjoy the evolution of hair lengths and sneaker style. Those high top Reebok dance sneakers we my ultimate favorite – I had three pairs.
If dancing isn’t your thing, here’s a playlist for a full-body workout. In this playlist there’s a short video for legs, arms and glutes, then a yoga flow to cool things down.
