Emily is a content and wellness expert living Portland, Oregon, with her husband and rescue dog, Momo.
EDITORIAL // Emily is a writer and content creator with strong roots in the fitness and wellness industries. She’s a seasoned writer, editor, and content strategist who got her start in the tech world, then landed a dream job leading content team within a Berlin fitness startup (8fit). Since moving back to the US, Emily is now senior marketing manager at Maker Wine – a premium canned wine company led by women, showcasing wine from diverse, small-batch makers. She holds both journalism and communication degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
TRAINING // In 2009, Emily got her first fitness certificate with Zumba Fitness (throwback!) and now teaches formats spanning indoor cycling, cardio dance, boxing, yoga, HIIT, and more. She is a certified person trainer with ACE Fitness. She’s also holds a culinary nutrition certificate from the Academy of Culinary Nutrition and is available for nutrition coaching, meal prep services, and speaking opportunities. Nutrition and regular exercise helped her overcome anxiety, poor sleep, hypoglycemia – all while improving her relationship with food. She’s passionate about helping other learn how to do the same. Past experience includes head coach at 8fit, trainer at EverybodyFights, instructor at Ride.Bln, group fitness at the YMCA and more. Experience leading classes at lululemon Sweatfest and other large events. Currently leading in-person classes at Adidas HQ in Portland, OR.
PERSONAL // Currently running with Rose City Track Club, a local non-profit running team in Portland, OR. Working towards chipping minutes off different personal bests – a 3:20 marathon and 1:32 half marathon. Outside of running, loving long walks in Forest Park and hikes with her people.
